
CPT Ernest Curry enlisted in the New Jersey Army National Guard in 2011. He completed his Boot Camp in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He then went directly to Officer Candidate School, which he commissioned as an Adjutant General (AG) in 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from DeVry University with a concentration in Sales and Marketing and a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources Administration from Columbia Southern University.
Throughout his 11-year career he has served in various leadership positions. CPT initially served as a Battalion S1 for the Brigade Support Battalion. He served as a Retention Officer for Recruiting and Retention. In 2014 he deployed with a Military Engagement Team to Jordan, Kuwait and Kazakhstan as the S1. He returned from deployment to work in the G1 as the Special Projects Officer. Simultaneously, he was also the 250th BSB Headquarters Company Commander. In 2019 he left the BSB and went to become the Major Subordinate Command (MSC) S1 for the 42nd Regional Support Group (RSG). After two years with the RSG, he spent five months with the Medical Command as the Training Officer and then spent one year as an APMS at Rutgers University.
Captain Curry is a graduate of AG Officer Basic Course, AG Captains Career Course.
Captain Curry’s awards and decorations include Army Commendation Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal,, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, ,, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal , Overseas Service Ribbon , Armed Forces Reserve Medal("M" Device), Army Service Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal and the NJ Distinguished Service Medal.
